Commissioning Engineer Required into Saipem Contracting Nigeria Limited (SCNL)

Saipem Contracting Nigeria Limited (SCNL) is a subsidiary of SAIPEM S.PA., a global captain in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Project Management in the Energy Sector.

Due to increasing workload and expansion of its offshore activities in Nigeria, SCNL is seeking for highly qualified, pro-active, fast learning, well organized and motivated Personnel to reinforce its team as Commissioning Engineer (COMENG).

Responsibilities of Commissioning Engineer:
  • Perform technical tasks assigned by Project Commissioning Leader; preparation of the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up activities.
  • Interface with engineering disciplines, licensors, vendors and subcontractors.
  • Prepare the commissioning requirements related to HSE or review the same with the HSE department as well as address safety aspects in all procedures and documents regarding commissioning.
  • Prepare the pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up and test run execution plans with the assistance of the Commissioning Leader.
  • Prepare the pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up and handing over procedures with the assistance of Discipline Engineers and the Commissioning Leader.
  • Participate in the review of test run (performance test) procedures and the operating manuals prepared by the Project Process Leader.
  • Participate in HAZOP review meeting where deemed necessary.
  • Assist Procurement and Subcontracting Department in the definition of subcontractor’s scope of work.
  • Prepare the commissioning spare parts list and consumables list.
  • Review the 3D Model for compliance with the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up requirements and for accessibility and operability.
  • Prepare commissioning System Dossiers for site execution.
Qualification & Experience of Commissioning Engineer:
  1. A University Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation or Process Engineering
  2. A Minimum of 4 years Experience in Offshore Facilities Commissioning
  3. Knowledge of commissioning software (ICAPS) is mandatory.
  4. Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
